Hi, I’m Rick Burmeister.

My name is Rick Burmeister, and I am running for the Vicksburg School Board to bring strong, conservative values to our educational system. My family and I moved to Vicksburg from Portage in 2021 to be part of a smaller, more conservative community, and I am committed to preserving the principles that make this district special.

Family

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Kristin, for 18 years. We are blessed with three beautiful daughters, ages 10, 12, and 14, who inspire me every day to strive for a better future. Kristin plays an active role in our community, working part-time as a substitute teacher at Indian Lake Elementary.

Background

With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, I began my career in the automotive industry, which equipped me with a strong foundation in problem-solving and innovation. For the past 13 years, I have been part of Stryker, and for the last 7 years, I have served as the Executive Pastor at Radiant Church, where I have honed my leadership skills and deepened my commitment to our community. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and engaging in real estate ventures—having owned multiple properties in Grand Rapids since 2003. In my free time, I also love snow-skiing, water sports, and staying fit.

Goals and Vision

I am passionate about education and believe that our children deserve a school system that upholds conservative values while preparing them for a successful future. I am dedicated to ensuring that our schools provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and strong moral values. I would be honored to serve on the Vicksburg School Board and work together to build a brighter future for our children.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Rick Burmeister
